*Meandering Soul*, released as an LP in 2021, is the third album by the French band Djiin. The album stands out within the genre thanks to an eclectic mix of psychedelic rock, doom and progressive rock, with influences from the 1970s. At its core, Djiin combines heavy, fuzzy guitar and bass riffs, powerful percussion and hypnotic melodies with expressive vocals. The electric harp, played by singer Chloé Panhaleux, creates a unique and distinctive sound within this niche. The album is a conceptual journey centred on the inner struggle of a tormented soul, with various characters and metaphors embodying the process of self-reflection and growth.
