*Tidals* is the debut album by Spotlights, a band known for its blend of heavy, atmospheric rock with lush shoegaze textures. The album shifts between dense guitar fuzz, sweeping synths and ethereal vocals, creating a compelling sound that feels both overwhelming and beautifully cinematic. The album is often described as a cross between post-rock, shoegaze and heavy alternative music, and showcases the duo’s talent for balancing melody and power, with a strong emphasis on atmosphere, dynamics and a rich, layered production. The album was originally released in 2016 and quickly became a cult favourite amongst lovers of immersive, guitar-driven music. This 10th Anniversary Edition presents *Tidals* as a coloured vinyl LP, giving the release a collectable, tactile feel that matches its vibrant sonic palette. Remastered and re-released to celebrate a decade of the band’s evolution, it demonstrates just how fully Spotlights’ vision had already crystallised from the outset, with the oceanic themes of ebb and flow emphasised through the overarching atmosphere and artwork. The coloured vinyl pressing underscores the album’s status as a modern underground classic, whilst the anniversary edition invites both loyal followers and new listeners to experience the post-rock and shoegaze-infused heaviness in a refined, audiophile-oriented format.
