In the Absence of Truth is the fourth full-length studio album by the American post-metal band ISIS, released in 2006 as a double LP. The album builds on the group’s earlier work, particularly their full-length album Panopticon, and further explores lead singer Aaron Turner’s clear vocals, whilst retaining his earlier techniques of screaming and growling. Musically, the album is highly dynamic, ranging from expansive atmospheric passages to almost tribal drumming, and at nearly 65 minutes, it is ISIS’s longest album.
