Aurora Glow Vinyl, limited to 700 copies. Sound Of Smoke from Freiburg im Breisgau have been quiet for a while. After the psychedelic soul-rock quartet released their last album, PHASES, in spring 2023 on Tonzonen Records, they received a lot of positive feedback within the German and, to some extent, international music scenes. Due to various personal circumstances afterward, the band decided to focus more on songwriting and reduce touring. Now, the Freiburg natives are excited to present a new album in March 2026. MIRAGE, the band's third full-length album, continues Sound Of Smoke's established formula: Johannes Braunstein's driving drum beats, Florian Kiefer's thunderous bass, which at times could even be interpreted as a rhythm guitar, Jens Stöver's electric, twangy guitar complemented by atmospheric echo and fuzz sounds, and oscillating synthesizers. Last but not least, Isabelle Bapté, with her soulful voice and flute playing, gives the Sound Of Smoke the famous, individual touch that makes the band so unique.
