The album *Locked Ward – Voyages Into The Inner...* by the British band The Locked Ward from Norwich was released on LP in 2011, presumably via Nasoni Records. The music on this record can be characterised as psychedelic rock with clear influences from acid rock, creating a hazy, immersive atmosphere that ties in with the classic sound of the late 1960s and early 1970s. The band does not shy away from experimenting with feedback, echoing guitar lines and thundering drums, giving the whole a sound that is both chaotic and hypnotic. What stands out is the organic approach to the genre, with the band appearing to draw on a wide range of influences without getting lost in overly polished production. There is a strong focus on texture and atmosphere, turning the album into a journey through all manner of psychological states, in keeping with the title *Voyages Into The Inner*… This work is particularly suited to fans of raw, unpredictable psych-rock who enjoy being swept away by music full of tension, contrast and psy
